I am a long time Linux user and am constantly looking for useful tools to add to my collection.
I use Fedora and am currently using Fedora 10. In my opinion I believe that Fedora is the best distro out there. But I am not able to connect to my company's wireless with Network Manager, the default wireless application for Fedora 10.
The company that I work for uses Active Directory and Cisco for the wireless access points. I have not had success using Network Manager connecting to the wireless network. This prevented me using the numerous wireless connections throughout our domain. I had almost given up with this connection when I was speaking with a friend who introduced me to WICD which is has had great success.
WICD is not part of the Fedora repository, but finding it at http://wicd.sourceforge.net/ with a Fedora setup.
WICD license is GPLv2.
